TO:
Lieutenant Colonel JOE MOUNTAIN, 0--252971.
Headquarters, India China Wing, Air Transport Command,
Station #1, APO #865, c/o Postmaster, New York, N. Y.

1. It has been brought to my attention by the Commanding Officer, Western Sector, ICWATC that another class consisting of 11 officers has been graduated from the Check-Pilots and Instructors School at Gaya, and that the training thus afforded will contribute in a substantial manner to the safe and effective operation in that Sector of C-46 type aircraft.

2. In your capacity as Wing Training Officer you have established the School at Gaya which has functioned in a most noteworthy manner, and have instituted a training program throughout the Wing which within a very short time has demonstrated its value in many respects.

3. I desire to commend you on the superior manner in which you have performed your duties as Wing Training Officer and for the exceptionally meritorious service you have rendered the Wing in this capacity.

EARL S. HOAG,
Brigadier General, U. S. Army,
Commanding.
