Conference with Blagg, Higgins, and Young regarding procedure on en route training supervision.

General Hardin arrived 1300-- Had Mr. O'Conner and Mr. Herb Fisher C-46 reps with him. -- Conference with Gen. H.--Fisher, O'Conner, Merkel, Mountain, Blythe, Moore, White, Rudy, and Cassady.

General H. talked at length on his desires. Summarized, they are:

1. Intensify training program throughout.

2. He will back us to the limit. We can have anything we want.

3. Intensify En route training.

4. Request C-87 and intensify C-87 training.

5. Institute more thorough Oxygen training.

6. Keep all types of training at one place when possible in order to integrate various phases.

7. Install and insist on operation of flight plans and log sheets. Set up means for checking logs for completeness, accuracy, etc., and for deriving weather data from them.

8. Improve production of Training aids. Request Draftsman or artist. (Difficutl to get printing done but will authorize if can find it.)

9. Install adequate Communications training including [[strikethrough]] training [[/strikethrough]] operation, maintenance, and navigational aids.

10. See that stations conduct periodic pilot meetings. Suggested at least once per month. ^[[Says he will attend some.]]
