The following is the proposed physical arrangement for operations at this station:

It is believed that the present location of operations while satisfactory does not allow for the maximin efficiency of this department. The present location of the Transportation office will be vacated in a short time and if operations were moved into the present site of the Wing Training Headquarters at the North end of the tower building adaquate room would be available for operations. In addition to this the distance from operations to the weather department during the wet season would be greatly reduced since one could walk to the South end of the tower building under cover.

The present building occupied by operations-dispensary and transportation would be empty and is believed to be most suitable for Wing Training Headquarters because it not only contains large rooms but many smaller ones suitable for private offices.

Attached are two diagrams showing the floor plan of operations in their present location and possible location in the North end of the tower building. The present location is a drawing made showing the present briefing room as an operations officer office since briefing is scheduled to move into the old location of the transportation office.

Attached to this report is a diagram for a new Arrival and departure board suggested and also a sketch of a Daily Operations Log which when analysed will serve as singular permanent record from which most of the operational reports can be gathered with a minimum of effort.

This concludes the report and it is respectfully submitted to the Commanding Officer for his consideration.
