Name, Report on Weight and Balance Conference (Cont'd).

would be helpful to the stations which would have to load aircraft. It is felt however, that placarding each airplane would be sufficient.

5. General Comments:

[[underlined]] a. [[/underlined]] The attitude of the Officers was very gratifying - one of alertness, willingness to learn and to provide information; attentiveness and cooperation were quite evident.

[[underlined]] b. [[/underlined]] When the conference adjourned, a number of Officers suggested that another conference be held in two or three months. This matter is under consideration, but whether or not another conference will be of value will not be determined for possible two months.

[[underlined]] c. [[/underlined]] The facilities of the Wing Training School are very good for conference work, and the personnel there cooperate to the fullest extent with conference groups.

[[underlined]] d. [[/underlined]] Some time was lost in getting started due to the Wing Weight and Balance Officer not arriving until late in the evening before the day the conference was scheduled. Although this situation could not have been prevented, it was never-the-less undesirable, particularly, since it was the cause of some anxiety to the Wing Training Officer.

[[underlined]] e. [[/underlined]] Two training films, "Weight and Balance Control of Cargo Aircraft" and "Loading Cargo Aircraft" are being obtained on loan from the Wing Training Officer for distribution to stations. It is believed that these films will materially aid the Station Weight and Balance Officers in training F & T and pilot personnel.
