[[underline]] June 17th - 44 [[/underline]]

Worked on Pilot Qual. Reg. and on First Pilot Training Program all morning.

[[underline]] June 20th [[/underline]] flew to Chabua and picked up Col Arthur and party.

Arthur seems critical of the whole deal. Believe it is based principally on lack of charts and displays. He could not possibly have gotten any comprehensive pictures of training in the short time he spent at [[illegible]] each field.

[[underline]] June 23. [[/underline]]

Brought Arthur and party to Calcutta. Stayed with Arthur most of time. Got very little accomplished in office.

[[underline]] June 25th. [[/underline]]

Returned to Gaya in evening.

[[underline]] June 26th. [[/underline]] Received instructions to come to Calcutta. Worked all night getting material together requested by Skannal.

[[underline]] June 27th [[/underline]]

Departed Gaya at 6 30 am. so as to arrive at Calcutta at start of business. Found Charlie Skannal had left twown to return at noon. Talked to him late in afternoon and presented the charts and other facts I had brought with me. He seemed only partly satisfied. Seems to have a preconceived idea that we are not doing so well and is out to prove it. Aked for additional information [[illegible]] on training performance at the stations. I dug it up.

[[underline]] June 28th. [[/underline]]

Spent almost whole day getting letter written proposing MTU for general training. Did not include in it the time it would take to get training set up by this means. Probably should have done so as it will take from six months to a year to cover our stations that way.
