My Dear Sir:
Your note is just this moment received . The acct. of W.P. Wood + Sons that came to us yesterday has been placed in the hands of Mr.De Cassiday and Col Conrad. They inform us that they will be compelled to adopt a rule to require accts. to come in one day, and the checks corresponding to be sent out the next day; but Mr. De Cassiday in view of the necessity in connection with the Wood acct., agreed to furnish the check today. We shall send for it a two o'clock. We will forward to the proper officers the acct. which you enclose, and shall request that the check be made payable to W.P. Wood + Sons or bearer and shall pass the check to you.
