Prof. S.F. Baird,
  Representative of Smithsonian Institute and Comr Food Fishes,
 Sir:
        I have made arrangements with the Centennial Photograph Company, whereby I shall obtain as the property of the Government, 5 exterior and 7 or more interior views (large size) of the Government Building and Exhibits. I have also made arrangements for such number of smaller views (8" x 10") as the several members of the Board may desire to order of their respective exhibits, at $3/00 per negative
    The negatives of the large views will be paid for from Contingent Expenses and will be the sole property of the Government. Copies  of these large views may be ordered of me by the several members, the cost of production to be paid from the appropriation under the control of the member ordering.
    Directions for taking the [[underline]] smaller views [[/underline]] should be given [[underline]] immediately [[/underline]]] by the several member of the Board, direct to the Centennial Photograph Company, on the Exhibition grounds- the cost of such negatives to be paid by the member ordering the same and the negatives to be the exclusive property of the Government and not to be used for furnishing copies to the trade. These smaller negatives will be taken in change by the members ordering the same
