Cucurbita, Opuntia arborescens,
Yucca Glauca, Populus monolifera.

[[underline]] Amphiopiza bilineata [[/underline]] were heard singing & one was seen, but no other birds that suggest Lower Sonoran. 

[[underline]] Dipodomyus spectabilis [[/underline]] are common around Santa Fe and one set of ?? was seen in Apache Canyon where we left it, but no other lower Sonoran mammals were found. [[undeline]] Lepus arizonæ [[/underline]] & [[underline]] melanotis? [[/underline]] were seen, Also [[underline]] S. graminicus [[/underline]], & a coyote. 
We caught [[underline]] Perodipus [[gap]] [[/underline]], [[underline]] Neotoma micropus [[/underline]], [[underline]] Peromyscus texensis [[/underline]], [[underline]] Oryotomys palliseus [[/underline]], [[underline]] Perognathus [[gap]] sp. nov. [[/underline]] 

[[underline]] July 6 [[/underline]], Remained at Santa Fe all day, getting supplies, writing letters etc. - wagon repaired, harness fixed, horses shod, pack outfit [[line in margin ]] together.
It is an interesting old town, mainly Mexican.
