stipends of $30,000 each and clerical and research assistance. The Regents approved the following motion:

VOTED that the Board of Regents approves a Program of Regents' Fellowships in an amount of $100,000 of nonappropriated funds for fiscal year 1980 and the continuation of this Program at the same level for up to five years, subject to a thoroughgoing periodic evaluation of its effectiveness.

[[underlined]]Reports[[/underlined]]

Reports of the Commission of the National Collection of Fine Arts, the Commission of the National Portrait Gallery were approved, and the report of the Board of Trustees of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden was accepted.

[[underlined]]National Armed Forces Museum Advisory Board[[/underlined]]

Mr. Brown, Chairman of the NAFMAB, recommended a change in status of the Board to reflect its current role as advisory to the Eisenhower Institute for Historical Research in the Museum of History and Technology. The Regents had no objection, and the matter will be considered at a meeting of the NAFMAB.

[[underlined]]Report on Actions on Recommendations of Various Management Reports[[/underlined]]

A review of the findings of the General Accounting Office Report, the report of the Regents' Audit and Review Committee, and the report of the Surveys and Investigations Staff of the House of Representatives, together with the Institution's actions in compliance. Virtually all recommendations have been fully implemented.
