the Congress, the press, and thus the public of the Regents' actions have been well received, and there was a brief review of experience to date in the press briefings and the resulting published stories. It was questioned whether there was a demonstrable need for open meetings, and there was sentiment that since the Regents (particularly the Congressional members) are representative of the public, the public is adequately protected.

The question was not brought to resolution, though the Regents directed that the matter be placed on the agenda for the next meeting of the Board.
