States that from representations by citizens of Clay & Cheroke Counties, suffering must ensue among the Whites & blacks of those Counties— Many have not food to maintain themselves during half the winter & unless Bureau provides for their maintenance suffering must ensue. and requests that he be authorized to purchase supplies for those citizens of Clay & Cheroke Co's who are not supplied by the civil authorities.
