Dear Sir
I take the liberty as a Northern man & a truest Union man I am sad to say that heere & at difrent Stations Betwen heere & Wilson o Goldsbrow there is large a mount of Colored people that look for the yanky Dr to wate on them [[High?]] complains of ABC being kill by Reb Dr out of [[Siousby?]] I & my Brother Dr Janus M Raines we have given & [[aebeb?]] [[Sor?]] fifteen Jundred Dollars worth & time to the poor. Since Januery last poverty in our part forbids our good attention Dr Davis Rebell lost 3 to day we are not able to keep up medicines unless we can have [[acestince?]] in this cause our will is good my family expensis is the trouble I & Brother do all we can & will continue
