Respectfully returned, with report of Lt. P.E. Murphy,
Asst Supt at Lincolnton, N.C., enclosed, and with statement that every effort has been made to ascertain
the particulars in the case of Capt. Henry, but with 
out success. Messrs. Redding and George testified that a man called Capt. Henry was shot, and buried near town; and
a Mr. Jonas Rudisal testifies to the same, adding that the grave can be identified as the largest one in town.
(He having made the coffin.) The officer in command, at Charlotte, at the time Capt. Henry was shot was Col.
Wm. Hoke. (not Gen'l R.F. Hoke.)
