Refers letter of Mrs. J. A. E. Gregory, of South Mills, N. C., respecting some trouble she has had with the mother of a negro girl apprenticed to her by him when Supt of this Bureau, with remark that the mother of the child is an incorrigible profligate, that the child is illegitimate, and has been raised by Mrs Gregory, and is treated very kindly,
