General:
Application having been made by Crammond Kennedy. Cor. Secy. N.Y. Branch Freedman's Union Commission, for transportation of certain teachers, from stations in North Carolina to their homes in the North; the enclosed orders, No.s. 859 to 873 inclusive, are respectfully transmitted to the Asst. Commissioner, who will please cause the same to be issued; if satisfied that the persons are specifically employed as teachers; and have been serving in the field at least six months; and are returning to their homes, - otherwise, they will be returned to this office for cancellation.
