Applications having been made by Mr. Edw^d P. Smith, Agt. Am. Missionary Association, and Rev. J. Bruiton Smith, Agt. Prot. Episcopal Freedmen's Com^n, for transportation of certain Teachers, from stations in North Carolina to their respective homes in the North, the enclosed Orders, No^s 1302 to 1336, inclusive, are respectfully transmitted to the Assistant Commissioner, who will please be governed by the instructions contained in letter of the 12^th inst. from this office, in directing the issue of the same.
