Referring to your endorsement of date July 2nd 1867, forwarding to this office, certain papers concerning Edua Eskridge, Freedgirl,- and recommending that transportation be furnished if her parents are able to support her - you are respectfully informed that the papers having been referred to the Asst. Comm. of Mississippi, who reporting that the parents of the girl are able and willing to provide for her, the application has been favorably considered, and the enclosed Order, No. 1729, is respectfully transmitted to the Assistant Commissioner.
