The canyon is narrow & [[?]] & full of live oaks, sycamores, alders, willows & farther up maple & some Psendotsuga wascrocarper.  The chapparel covers the north slopes densely & the south slopes sparingly to the mountain tops.
The conspicuous species are Rhus lauriva,orata, divissiloba & trilobata, Rharnnus californicer, tomentilla, ibafolia ( and crocea in the valley), Cavothen.
Cirsocarpus Parvifolius, Adevastoron faseiculelem, Arctostoplybos [[strikethroug]] Rannova[[/strikethrough polysterchin & stachyoides, Artemissces Californica, Erriogorum paneicutatius Yuesa whippli etc.  It is so dense that travelling off the trails is almost impossible, and the the only trail does not go far up the canyon.  Even on it this grapevines & poison ivy make a tangle difficult to penetrate-
   Mammals are scarce in this canyon except Neotonas & 3 species of Peronufseus, seaparvo & gray foxes.  There are no signs of Thononip[[?]] in the canyon & only Nrivrotus californicas t the lower end.
