Simoda. The species is epiphytic in lowland forests in East Asia. There is a "Simoda" in Tibet in China and another in Nepal. There is no forest around the location in Tibet; this zone is a desert. So Simoda in Nepal is the likeliest location. It is a bit outside of the known range of the species though. JKB: this is Japan
