Very cold. Went in town  Peggy and I saw some of the "Hollywood Canteen" it was very good
Then she took her lesson. We got 2 tons of coal and 1 bag Salt and 50 lbs starter mash. $20.73.
Took Lowes a belated Christmas present a nice roast of our meat. Ah yes did up a big ironing.

Did some mending 
Also finished a dress for Margaret. Mopped kitchen & dining room. We went down to Grahams in the eve. After we got the car unstuck. Elva Ferguson called and said Gertrude called and said she had heard for [[Dale?]] written on Sept. 11.th, that is was well and not to worry. They also got Bobs A.P.O number and it floored Perle. He had a slight stroke but Dr said he would be up in a few days.
