Rainy but washed anyway. It cleared and got them dry. Baling straw at Reba's Sue Young & Lee Linville were here in P.M. Intended to go to show but did not Heard today about the new Atomic bomb a small ^[[one]] which has the intensity of 20,000 tons of T.N.T. Pres. Truman announced it today It was used on Japan also. They baled 209 in P.M.

Fair but it rained plenty last night. Want to iron. Want Clarence & Richard to get haircuts. They all went in but Peg & I. Harner was here and offered $2.00 for Eva & Mabel. Got back at 1:00 Peg & I went to see "Captain Eddie". We went to Grange. They were all there but Kenney Miller. They seemed to have a nice time, but were slow to get started. Dad & I had to leave to help out [[right margin]] Jacksons [[/right margin]] [[left margin]] Royal donated 5 gal of Ice Cream which was lovely. W.H. bought the sheep.[[/left margin]]
