Poem written for Avas Birthday gift
This little gift is for your home
now that soon you'll not be alone
We hope you can use it some place
Because we think it a nice bit of lace

It's handmade but not by me
As you can look and plainly see
But not for beauty alone - It will wear
Or so the clerks in the store declare

But Ava's birthday does roll round
As sure as grass grows on the ground
We hope you will have many more
And all good things of life in store.
