Transcription Notes:
2nd transcriber notes: - Re-opened to correct error - Changed "Rouzee" to correct spelling. Some cursive handwriting will have the full letter (e.g. "u") and then bring the "tail" all the way up to the top before beginning the next letter. - Hint for 1st transcriber: Most projects have a catalog record link on their front page. The staff write descriptions that can be extremely helpful. You still have to double check for errors but they are pretty spot on. Reading other projects of the same kind can also help provide helpful info. For instance, I knew "497 1/2 acres" from a related document I reviewed: https://transcription.si.edu/transcribe/11732/NMAAHC-2011_104_69_001. It's also how I knew "D.C." (vs. "D.L.") and I merely verified by checking the capital letter "L" in "Land" on this document. They were different. Happy transcribing! 1st transcriber notes: John Rowzee can be found in a google search Had a lot of issues with this determining what was written. Some written items were determined by doing the math (e.g. "26")
