[[/underlined]] Found the same Lower Sonoran plants alone the river valley a few miles below town. there turned up mesa and up the north slope most of the Lower Sonoran species disappeared & were replaced by [[red checkmark]] Dalea canescens, [[red checkmark]] Guterrizia & [[red checkmark]] Yuccas of the low radiosa type. Across the lava beds, and in fact all the way to Engle, it is so close to zone limit that the least slope makes a difference, [[red checkmark]] Creosote, [[red checkmark]] mesquite, [[red checkmark]] Baccharis glutinosa covering the warm and [[red checkmark]] Guterizia, Yuccas & grass covering the cold. Lots of horses & cattle were seen.
