Willie is considerably improved today, getting over to the Lodge for all meals and coming over in the evening to "kibitz" at the bridge party; she can't sit still long enough to play. Mr. Bowers won again with 5400 in 16 hands. They say they are known at home as the "slamming Bowers."

Had a wire from Cash this morning early saying okay on the extra days & sorry to hear Willie is not well - awfully nice of him I think. Got in four sets of tennis with Bowers, Rowe, & Dr. O'Dare, the latter a  newly-wed whose wife looks much like Maybelle Scarborough. Then a dip in the lake, dinner, a little looking on at the women's tennis tournament more swimming with the children this time dinner, horseshoes, rest and the sunset and to bed at 9:30. One gets sleepy early here.

Willie is almost able to walk normally again today altho she doesn't feel normal yet and can't exercise. Bab's feat today was to jump off the diving board feet first and after a long hesitation before the first try, did it a half dozen times more.

The Rowes left today; sorry to see them go. He is an engineer, Stevens '26, and is now in sales promotion work for some outfit that makes rolls for printing presses. Incidentally, last night Rog took a poke at young Rowe, "Normy", who, Rog claimed, was pursuing him, and sent him off crying. I was sorry in one way and glad in another for Normy and "Will", an imbecile I'm convinced, with a Mexican governess, had been bothering the life out of Rog. Finally Rog
