Monday, Nov. 14, '38.
Today was one of those days something like Christmas or your birthday, charged with the thrill of getting new and desired things.  This noon Rich walked into the office to say he had my new Filmo projector and in a couple of minutes, it was in on my desk and being admired by Perk, Gordon McDonald, et al.  And when I got home, found the ping pong table legs had arrived as well as the reel of film from Rochester.  So up goes the ping-pong table and we fool around on that with Bab and Rog, he so thrilled he squealed with delight and jumped up and down when he hit the ball.  Then after the children had gone to bed, I studied the Filmo 8 and finally we showed the new reel of Scarborough Party pictures and they are honeys as well as those of Bab and Rog - all in color and A-1.  And the projector is a beauty, much better I think than Don MacLeod's Eastman.  So today I was a kid with some new toys, and felt just that way too.  The new screen was the only thing that failed to come, being out of stock but expected in a few days.  Now we are planning a party this weekend to show the pictures and use the ping outfit.

H.L. Andrews here today and raising hell generally.  He made Maurice's office his headquarters and I could hear some of it over the partition.  Layed Maurice out for the speed-control being a flop on Alco and ruled on split-pole for the Alco-New York Central much to Rudy's relief.  Gave Jake hell about not selling more of the small diesels yet as well as other things.  Gave Harris hell for trying to charge him $25,000 for the Union Pacific New York demonstration.  Went up to give Emmet hell for asking for an MO for 10 "doodle bugs", etc. etc.  Fortunately I seemed to be out of the line of fire.  The only effect
