that up with what Rudy told me of Walter Hedley becoming Andrew's assistant the first of the year.  And I take it I am a very likely possibility for the vacancy Walter leaves.  Walter has felt me out before on how I'd like to take a District Office job and it looks more and more like it.  It gave me a lot of food for thought, not all pleasant, but also, looking at it realistically, not all unpleasant.  And on Sunday afternoon, Willie and I were looking at some of the new Baldwin houses on Kahkwa!  This throws a monkey wrench into any quick lease signing.

I caught the "Owl" at 12:30AM for Boston and didn't sleep too well because I had a lot of things circulating through my mind.

Wasted most of the day sitting around our office waiting for Roy Goggin to get cleaned up as he wanted to go to the B&M with me.  Finally got down there, talked to Jack Tobin for an hour, got my dope going, said good-bye and thanks to Dave Reid, Buckpitt and Jack, and went to the Manger.  A dinner alone at Thompson's Spa, "The Great Walty" and a marvellous performance by Louise Rainer, back to the hotel, diary & to bed.  Am staying
