one we had together when we came up from the bar downstairs together. It was just right - a perfect experience of two people in a perfect harmony together. I think she felt that way too about it from one or two things she said. I could have said plenty, my tongue loosened by liquor, but I didn't. In fact, I really felt, I didn't say enough. I could have raved under different circumstances, but I didn't. And not long afterward we left because the cure hadn't had a chance to work yet, she was getting too uncomfortable.

Bill and I had a swell old chat about "Cement Head" Huns[[?]], "Mickey" Finn, Maloney, etc. I might as well have gone with Bill last night as Larry didn't show up today. They wound up in the Copley-Plaza - Bill, Barngrove and Stanley Mackay and I certainly would have liked to have been there to talk to Mackay. But missed the boat.

Before we left , Margot, who was sitting between Walt and Bill at the bar downstairs, a dark and seductive place, got pretty well lushed up and suggested "the hottest place in town." And then her brother went off with Bill's wife's sister, and Margot was all up in the air about that, although I guess it was entirely innocent. So that was the way we left Margot, chafing at the bit, wishing she could go with "you kids." Bill and his wife drove me to the hotel and to bed. A big evening!
