The party at the Harrises was a buffet supper Dutch style, attended by Scarboroughs, Reeds, Lamborns, James, and ourselves, followed by bridge, rummy, and match poker, and had a swell time. Walt Scarborough and Maybelle seem on excellent terms again and I'm hoping they will make a go of it this time. I think all of us should do everything we can to help them do it. They both evidently are trying hard.

Got my AIEE date cancelled today after calling Maurice, [[?Beane]] and Felix. Felix was awfully decent about it; I really begin to think that guy is all right after all.

So I'm home for a week or so and it is mighty good. We've got to settle this house business if I can get anything definite out of "Cash." Then there are income tax returns, personal property tax returns, bills, etc. etc. to do. Oh, I've plenty to do all right. But it is good to be here, very, very good indeed!
