Had Ben and Tony in this evening for bridge and a real old-time giggle session, accelerated by some "Cream of Kentucky" high balls. Their house is coming along well and they are naturally full of it. I think we are going to have nearly as much fun with ours without the financial burden, and it would be a burden to us now if we were building one ourselves. Some day, yes; but at present, it would be unnecessarily rash- too much of a load to carry.

We prowled about our new home this afternoon , measuring, wondering, etc. We don't know where to put the piano. There's no place for it except in the living room and it would wreck that utterly for looks. So we're  in a quandry. We can't see buying a new piano when it's so uncertain if Bab will go on with her music,which she shows no signs of really caring for, although as in about everything, she's good at it.  And then there's no apparent closet in the back bedroom downstairs and no place for one although King assured me there would be.  And there's no good place in the dining room for the sideboard. But all in all, we are very much pleased with the place and looking forward to getting into it.

Bab went to Dorothy Jean's this afternoon and I took Rog out to the Peninsula to skate on the Bay. The wind was blowing a gale and I was nearly wild, crouching down on the ice trying to tighten
