office the other day and I saw that original sketch you made of the Ford locomotive; he has it under the glass on his desk. He said, "The fellow who made that certainly did a fine job on that locomotive and that's why I keep the picture here on my desk!" When Andy told me that, it certainly made me feel about 100%, because I wondered if H.L. really realized just what connection I had with that job. I think the incident in Kellogg's office boosted my stock with H.L. considerably.

Andy hasn't had time to go over the B&M report completely yet but he wants all reference to price removed and also terms, which means it will have to be retyped completely. It rather griped me at first because we have been putting prices in reports for years, but when Andy came thru with the Ford story, I forgave him everything. He told me the "persona non grata" story about Larry Richardson, and I told him something of what Roy told me - just the fact Roy and Larry had more standing than was generally known, but H.L. just pooh poohed it. So it will be interesting to find out which is right. I suspect Roy is.

Bab & Rog "passed," Bab with an A average highest in the class and Rog with a B. Roger's conduct was put thus on his report card - [[strikethrough]] VERY [/strikethrough]] GOOD [[checkmark]] The teacher evidently had some slight reservations in her mind.
