slight swelling showing on the outside. However, I didn't take it seriously, having had similar things before, and went on to the Griswold Club.

My nose was swollen more than ever today so I went over to the Works Hospital this morning. I was hoping they would make light of it but they did not - advised me to see a doctor tomorrow if it didn't get better. They wouldn't attempt to do a thing to it.

Gerry Hoddy came over today to discuss the Flexomotive with us and we spent the day with him, getting lined up to issue a memo to the Districts on it. Gerry had little light to shed on Republic's buying the Flexomotive for Buffalo. I suspect Gerry himself attempted to "sell" them the Cummins engine & didn't have the ammunition to do it. My nose has kept me upset all day, getting no better fast. Had Gerry not been here, I should have gone to the Doctor this afternoon as I was beginning to do some genuine worrying.

When I got home, Rog met me very proudly and announced he had allowed Willie to pull out his loose front tooth. And sure enough his first big gap was there, changing his looks so much it was amazing. And how proud he was! We put it in an envelope & filed it.
