is there at H.L.A's request. I told "Andy" about Ed Kelly's message in Sch'dy. last Wednesday and that may have started things. It pays to have friends on the railroads and Ed is a good one and true. He is beginning to think now he'd like to come back to Erie again although he claimed he never would when the 0361-0366's were finished.

Put the top down today and had a nice ride this evening staying at Ben and Tony's. Their new home looks great now it is really fixed up. They have a place to be proud of.

Finished the Montpelier report today. The St. J. & L.C. switcher looks like a good proposition but the "Hill Job" and the Montpelier-Barre switcher don't look so hot. The latter [[underlined]]might[[/underlined]] pan out but I doubt it. The Hill Job is one that needs an Alco 600HP I think and I'm not sticking my neck out to recommend one of these light industrials for it.

Roger's face this morning was worse than ever, his left eye almost closed! What a sorry looking youngster! But he doesn't suffer except at night when the itching nearly drives him crazy and Willie too. She and Bab went to see Shirley Temple in "The Little Princess" tonight and I managed Rog. He and I took a bike ride to Ben and Tony's. I riding Bab's wheel and coming home with a bouquet of wild flowers in my hand on a girl's bike. I guess I was a sight.
