him in jail and cost him his G.E. job. He looked about the same except his hair is very gray. I went in and had a chat with him. He says he has had this little shop in Westfield for a year, works 16 hours a day and is doing well. His wife, a very frail looking woman, was there too. He asked about Maurice Guynes and Wayne Lynch, sent his best to all the boys and said he would like to have any of them drop in to see him. Doc was clever and too diversified - he got out of bounds on the abortion sideline and finally got caught. His life, I guess, has been pretty tough, his wife a semi-invalid for years, and Doc more or less at the mercy of fate and too much misdirected talent. I hope he is doing as well as he indicated.
