Memorable instances:

.) I playing grand opera records at Harriet Collins request and the various ladies exclaiming after they were over how marvelous they were, but raising so much hell during the records, no one could tell whether they were grand opera or the "Beer Barrel Polka" (which went over tremendously & was the main vehicle for dancing).

.) My intense disappointment when Maybelle kissed all the men but me, and wondering why.

.) Willie spilling a whole cup of coffee over her lap, and laughing uproariously about it.

.) Charlie and Maybelle wrestling on the day bed in the cellar during the movie show.

.) Charlie and I picking up Maybelle off the floor and tossing her bodily onto the divan, only to find she had been holding a highball during the procedure, and it was all over her.
