at Durgin Park, an old, picturesque place near Faneuil Hall where I had a big lobster and Roy a huge steak plus some pleasantness with a pretty Irish waitress whom Roy knew before. Neil went home early because he brought his wife home from the hospital today with the new baby. He will get me the MEC cost dope and mail it and I am going home tonight. It is a break in a way as I half expected to leave to go to Portland tomorrow to the party in honor of the opening of Repetto's new power house in order to make a contact with Abbott of the Brown Co. who was scheduled to be present with his wife. But the power house wasn't finished and the party was called off for which I was duly grateful, being rather glad to be homeward bound after a session that has lasted more or less steadily since May 24th.

When I got off the train, there were Ben and Tony on the platform and I discovered Ben's father and step-mother were right behind me - in fact, I had been adjacent to them all night and at breakfast. They are going to accompany Ben and Tony on another Gaspe jaunt next week. Then I faced up the platform to see my "folks" including the Colonel - Bab grabbed me in a big hug and Rog jumped on my back and the porter got a big kick out of it. The Colonel looks hale and hearty and seems the same as ever.

Got out to the office after lunch and congratulated the new Big Boss, "Whitey" Wilson, and when I said I was tickled, I meant it. I think it is the best thing that has happened to us for a long time.
