view up the valley toward the Devil's Backbone where we had picnics years ago with Dick and Ethel Lottridge, Marsh and Betty Henshaw, Jay Walker, Frank Headley and Grace, et al. Which reminds me that Betty Henshaw phoned Willie the other day about writing to our Senators on the Neutrality Law and Betty seems about to get back into circulation after years of isolation because of her eye trouble. I'm all for getting them over sometime soon. Used to enjoy both of them so much.

Had a quick reply from Ed Kelly, almost by return mail the other day. He expressed regret I wasn't on the N.H. work now, offered to write "Whitey" a letter if I said so - said he and Dutch Law are all set to come to Erie "if and when", and are anxious to come. (Ed said at one time he would never come back - I knew that would pass off in time.)

And we are scheduled to meet Freddie and Rosemary at Roycroft Inn, East Aurora went Saturday for a get-together. Willie wont take the children because of the infantile paralysis epidemic in Buffalo and environs but I think the rest of us can go if we can get someone to look after them.

Business is certainly picking up! Today it was like a madhouse at the office. Maurice and Brandy were back from New Haven and Specs. (Westinghouse tinted) are coming out for new freight power-5000 tons. Well, I had to help Brandy get the lowdown on New Haven conditions so he can study the thing. That was just a start.
