Somehow the conversation turned to Felix Konn and the rumor he was changing his name to Felix Felix. And then they told the story of the Konns strange eating habits, presumably to save money - existing on cartons of Shredded Wheat, then only raw vegetables and fruit. And I thought of Felix's famed bread and butter and coffee and sugar lunches at the GE, going back for a second cup free and filling the cup half full of sugar. Felix pulled a good one on me the other day. He was in favor of dropping Jack Milling from the Entertainment Committee of the AIEE (Jack is always on because he's an Erie Club member and makes the club available for speaker's entertainment) because Felix himself is an Erie Club member and he intimated he would always be available to make the Erie Club available. In other words, Felix is trying to line it up so he will perpetually be one to entertain AIEE speakers in the future - a chance to meet prominent people and entertain them at no cost to Felix is the inevitable conclusion as to his purpose in view of his known proclivities to prominent person worship and tightness. Someone could write a whole of a book about Felix and his career - it would make a corking novel. I understand from Perk that Felix has been trying to get into our department recently but with no success. Personally, I feel he is of much more value as a designer - and he's a good one - than as a commercial man. No one who is as much of a snob as Felix should be in the Commercial Dept. People don't take to snobs in general.

Transcription Notes:
Snob? Whose a snob? I changed "Korm" to "Konn" in several places. Here is a link to one of his patents which shows his name as Konn: https://www.google.com/patents/US2192749 --thomasc
