Another subject of discussion was Mrs. John Scarborough's presence in Erie. Apparently she has been forced to leave John already as he is openly unfaithful - left her the day before New Year's and was away for three days with another woman and made no bones of it. As she came up here by bus we wonder if John has already got hold of her money. The asinine thing is that John actually is attending dental school now. The whole affair is strange - why should she marry him in the first place since it is understood she knew all about his characteristics before marrying him? Who is she? Is she a Nazi agent as John once claimed? It is a queer business. Anyhow she's here now indefinitely.

A quiet indoor day catching up on many jobs about the house including plans and preliminary rehearsals for my talk to the Sales Training boys in Sch'dy, on Jan. 23rd. It was a good day to be in for we are having a mid-January thaw and it was over 40° and raining most of the day.
