Was so happy to see the children - Bab still in bed but not badly off - busy all the time and her radio going steadily. Rog is full of pep and we tried to fly his kite this afternoon with no success but we did learn something about the art from some schoolmates of his so I have hopes of success the next time.

Most of the day it was the usual rush of odd jobs, bank, barber, etc. etc. after I return from a long trip like this. Roy wired that the B & M are contemplating the immediate purchase of 5 locos - North Station, Holyoke, Augusta and two for trying out at different spots, and they want to buy before Electro-Motive enters the field with a [[underlined]] 2 axle [[/underlined]] high speed engine job. The 2 axle sounds like hydraulic drive to me.

This evening went to the Reids for the long awaited spaghetti dinner. Walt and Maybelle being there too, followed by Tripoly again. It was a very large affair and I enjoyed it immensely - good to see old friends again and relax like that. Understand Rosalind Harris and Marion Lamborn are coming along much better now with their pregnancies so we may hope to see them again in restricted circulation soon.
