Bobbie is sick in bed with a cold again - the spring seems harder than the winter with both her and Roy.  The weather is so changeable now - cold one day and warm the next - the problem of dressing them properly is a hard one.
Mother called me last evening ( and it was a peculiar thing because I had a telegram from Syracuse in the afternoon which scared me until I found it was from Jay Walker!) and said someone at church had told her she saw a notice in the paper some time ago that I had an account in a bank in Syracuse and my address was unknown (the Syracuse Savings Bank Cousin Kate sent me a notice of a year ago, which I had forgotten about and found was about $4 when I wrote them).  Mother was so wild about it she couldn't eat and had to phone me.  I think I calmed her all right but it shows how she is about such things.
   Roy wired today there might be a conference in Boston Monday so maybe the B&M is coming to a climax.  I want to finish up my career as a Commercial Engineer by seeing us get that order and also dispose of Taryan, Jr.  I can quit then with a clean conscience.

Things went smoothly today for me.  Rudy got back and marched into Whitey's office to find me there reading the mail.  I think he was taken somewhat aback.  During the day he and Jake had a terrific argument as to why Jake had refused to try to sell a deluxe 44 ton to Swift when they had told him they
