Went to Vergennes this afternoon to shop - got Dominay a bandage for his leg and Bab wanted to know the man's name I was getting it for. I told her Dominay and she said, "I thought you said his name was 'Charlie Horse'."
Went swimming this afternoon - water very cold compared to Shanty Shane. The children love it though. They have various little paddle boats, kyacks (?) etc. for them to fool with. The water is so cold I don't enjoy staying in but there is ample space for sun bathing and with me now that seems more important than swimming - I want to get brown. Somehow the sun here doesn't seem to burn like it does at home.
Rog was upset tonight - had a fight with Bab and was excited naturally - said nobody loved him - he hated himself - talked about "doing away with" himself, and he had us very much upset. Dr. Gannon said to pay no attention to these upsets but we can't help being disturbed. If anything ever happened to him, I think it would be too much for me to bear. This affair pretty much spoiled the evening but I'm sure he will be okay tomorrow. He was asleep in one minute so he couldn't have had anything very serious on his mind.
