This evening we had a party - movies and Tripoly - Reeds and Collins and a good time was had by all.  The Collins are building a house and she in particular is all hepped up over it - buying antiques, etc. and Bill razzing her good naturedly.  We rather miss having Maybelle and Walter at these parties.  The divorce is supposed to come final this month and it is reported that Walt is now "acting up"; the story is that he was very good about everything before the deal was finally consummated in the hope she would repent but now that it is to go through, he is good and mad and doesn't mind letting people know it.  It will be interesting to see how Maybelle makes out.

Bought myself a nice new brown leather travelling bag this morning, my old one that Freddie Thalman gave me when I graduated from college, having finally succumbed to old age, ripping from stem to stern coming home from Basin Harbor.

The family decided to drive me to Cleveland today so they could have a little outing too.  As we stepped out of the house to leave, Dusky broke away from Bab and made a streak for a big dog in our front yard; the dog ran across the street with Dusky in hot pursuit and I trailing as fast as I could.
