American Historical Association.

The Report of this Association is by law transmitted to the Congress through the Smithsonian Institution, and the appropriation for printing it has been placed with those of the Smithsonian. The Institution has nothing to do with the preparation of the Reports or the printing after submission to Congress, this being handled by the officers of the Association, who state that the full amount of the current appropriation is needed. The appropriation for 1924 is $7,000; the estimate for 1925 as contained in the Budget is $4,600.
