PRESENT: Chief Justice William H. Taft, Chancellor, in the chair; Vice President Charles G. Dawes; Senator Joseph T. Robinson; Representative Albert Johnson; Representative R. Walton Moore; Representative Walter H. Newton; Mr. Frederic A. Delano; Hon. Irwin B. Laughlin; Hon. Dwight W. Morrow; Hon. Charles E. Hughes; Dr. John C. Merriam; and The Secretary, Dr. C. G. Abbot. The Assistant Secretary, Dr. Alexander Wetmore, was also present. NON-ATTENDANCE. The Secretary read a letter from Mr. Robert S. Brookings, stating that he was unable to be present owing to his departure for Europe. He also stated that Senators Smoot and Swanson were prevented from attending by important engagements. MINUTES OF PREVIOUS MEETINGS. The Secretary submitted, in printed form, the minutes of the meetings held during the preceding year, stating that copies had been supplied [[initialed]] CGA [[/initialed]]
