presentation until the Annual Meeting of the Board in December next.

Owing to the many engagements of Admiral Byrd, it had not been possible to arrange a suitable date. Under date of May 27, Mr. LaGorce of the National Geographic Society, had written to suggest the morning of June 21, but in view of the probable adjournment of Congress soon, the Secretary thought the matter should be deferred until December. On motion, the following resolution was adopted:

RESOLVED; That the matter of date and manner of presentation of the Langley Gold Medals to Admiral Byrd, and (posthumously) to Charles M. Manly, be referred to the Executive Committee.

Mr. Moore suggested that the presentations be made at separate dated.

STATEMENT OF PERMANENT COMMITTEE.

Mr. Delano, Chairman, said that the Permanent Committee had several matters before it; he would not take up the time of the Board to discuss them now, but would say that they are in process.

ADJOURNMENT.

There being no further business to come before the meeting, on motion the Board adjourned.
