Dear Leger:

It is truly a very long time since I have seen or heard from you. When I was in Paris last year, I went to your apartment at this address, and was told you were away, and as unfortunately my stay was comparatively short, and had to travel a great deal, I did not have another opportunity of calling on you.

For a while I thought I would go over in June, but this did not materialize, and I am wondering whether I will be able to do so this year at all.

Meanwhile, I would like to know how you are, and whether you have been busy painting. I heard recently of the exhibition you had a Carré, in June, and in fact received a catalogue, but of course the titles give me no idea of what you have achieved. Do you have photographs by any chance of some of your recent canvases, or could I see some here in New York?

Do let me hear from you, and trusting you are well,

with best regards,

Sincerely yours

(Germain Seligman)
