South Seymour is generally green greener than I have ever seen in in three visits; yet there seems to be no standing water. Capt. Pickens & [[Reznor?]] could not find any this aft. after a partial search. I shall look tomorrow too. [[Reznor?]] found a [[underline]][[hippa?]][[/underline]] on the beach my first one this cruise. The greeness is quite universal grass that was ever here before is now fresh & green & with fruity plumes. When Capt. was here [[strikethrough]] [[Eaie?]][[/strikethrough]]in Dec. he found a running stream. about four we got alone with tide guage party & camp party. now at 10 I can see their camp fine. in fact at 10:12 its out They must read guage each half hour day & night; beam light & field glasses. Also have small portable radio phone for talking to ship
