life, of the young members of Baptist churches is taken care of.
 
(6) The B. Y. P. U. A Church Organization.

This means that the B. Y. P. U. is fostered and supported by the church.  The church assumes entire responsibility for the education and training of its young members.  It should furnish the B. Y. P. U. a suitable place in which to meet and all the material and supplies needed to carry on the work effectively.  The church should finance the B. Y. P. U., buying the study-course books, defraying the expenses of the B. Y. P. U. socials, equipping and maintaining a library.  Large churches having B. Y. P. U. directors who devote their entire time planning for and with the young people in systematizing and advancing their work.  Those in the churches having chief responsibility in this matter are:

(1) The Pastor.

The pastor is the undershepherd ministering to the spiritual needs of the young members of the church, guarding them from temptation and warning them against all kinds of danger and pitfalls.  The pastor is also the "over-seer" of the young people, planning for their duty and development and usefulness and keeping them
