Personally appeared before me E. P. Stilwell an acting Justice of the Peace Wm Davis and made oath in due form of law that he was present on the night of the 28th of April when a Negro named Henry Matthews was taken from the jail at Webster he further states Wm P Allman John Allman A K Gibson Richard M Wilson [[strikethrough]] and James Common (Freedmen) [[/strikethrough]] entered the jail proceeded to the door of the room where Mathews was confined That the lock was taken off by the above named persons. That the Negro Matthews came out and was turned loose and drove from town by Wm P Allman John Allman A. K. Gibson Richard Wilson & James Common That it was [[strikethrough]] done [[/strikethrough]] by a previous agreement [[strikethrough]] of [[/strikethrough]] the above named parties met at the Jail in Webster for the purpose of taking him from jail and driving him from town
